I have admired the Dogwood Center at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens for quite some time. This site and place is immensely impactful; it's simple in construction and form, artful in materiality and texture, and creates a place for fluid human and natural interaction.
In helping to plan my wedding this past November(2025), we needed a seating seating chart. I realized this was the perfect opportunity to create something that not only was as elegant as the place we were going to be at but also informative as an image standing alone. This drawing is not only a passion project for a space I have studied and come to know and love, but it is a reminder that good design, no matter the scale or form it takes on, will always provide priceless experiences for those who encounter it.

In an effort to build a habitual practice of producing something every day, these abstract, warped gradients were produced.
The forms and gestures are purposefully abstract, sharp edges are emphasized through color mapping and the glowing is carefully curated based on the compositional form made.

These compositions were created through the use of Processing, a computer programming language software that aids designers in learning the fundamentals of computer programming within a visual context.
The goal here was to write and manipulate a code in order to create a tool for drawing. After understanding the fundamental cogs in this script, a drawing tool that allowed for multiple revolving lines and axial bound lines to exist on one plane was created. When the script is manipulated and started, with minimal mouse movements, these are just some of the types of images that can be produced.

In an effort to save Christmas... well really it was an effort to make something funny in the style of the classic IKEA instruction manual. Wordless, action based and concise, these might be IKEA’s wildest instructions yet. Fire was such innovative, destructive discovery that if you play with it in the wrong ways, you could be severely punished. This set of instructions exists to help guide you how to safely play with fire and bring a load of madness and chaos to a built environment near you.
IKEA has created a number of disassembly guides to help the lifecycle of the building environment through means of destruction. This easy-to-use guide will hep customers commit their favorite illegal act, Arson.

Should any matches or other combustible materials not be enough to burn down your favorite building (or any other building for that matter), simply call or go online to restock for free. The Spare Parts Library can be found at the Customer Returns Center of any IKEA store, as long as it hasn’t been reduced to rubble and ash.
